"Computer on Wheels"- a people centered ICT initiative was an innovation supported and brought to life by the Reuter's Digital Vision Program at Stanford University, USA. Subsequent to the program Digital Partners and Global Catalyst Foundation were instrumental in launching the pilot in seven villages in Ghanapuram Mandal in Mahbubnagar District. COW then drew support from a grant provided by the World Bank by being a winner for the World Bank's "Development Marketplace Global Award" in 2003. Consecutively the project received support by personal efforts of the trustees and with occasional financial help by like minded friends of the trustees. In recent times we are coming across a lot of people from different parts of the world willing to support our efforts. We are still in the process of streamlining our processes to access such support from unknown donors.
